A Nazi Concentration Camp on BRITISH Soil | History Traveler Episode 438

History Documentaries

Many may be unaware that the Germans occupied British territory for most of WWII in the form of the Channel Islands. Even fewer may know that there was a concentration camp that was set up on one of those islands. When the Germans ramped up their fortifications on the island of Alderney, they brought in forced labor from all over Europe. And many of those held at Lager Sylt would never return home.
