Vidkun Quisling, a name now synonymous with treason, rose to infamy as Norway’s most notorious Nazi collaborator during World War II. Once a military officer and humanitarian, he turned to politics, founding a fascist party inspired by Hitler’s ideology. In 1940, Quisling betrayed his country by aiding Germany’s invasion, declaring himself prime minister and facilitating Nazi control of Norway.
