The US is sending 6 naval aircraft, equipped for electronic warfare, to Germany to bolster NATO’s eastern flank. The aircraft will be accompanied by 240 personnel, including air crew and technicians to Germany. However, Kirby clarified that the six EA-18G ‘Growlers’ will not be used against Russian forces. Washington has made clear that it will not send planes or personnel into direct combat against Russia.
