The Battle of the Seelow Heights | Zhukov at the Gates of Berlin

The Battle of the Seelow Heights was one of the last and bloodiest clashes on the Eastern Front during World War II. From April 16 to 19, 1945, Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov led a massive assault against German defenses positioned on the Seelow Heights, just 90 kilometers from Berlin. This offensive was part of the final push of the Red Army toward the capital of the Third Reich. Credit to: Der Kommandant English
