The Dark Reason Captured Axis Soldiers Were Shot

In the final months of World War 2, discipline amongst the soldiers broke down and this led to many prisoners of war who surrendered being shot. Inside Japan the Americans knew taking prisoners could be deadly, and on the Eastern Front it was a ruthless war where neither side took prisoners.
