The Eastern Front In Color, 1943-1944 | WW2 In Color
During World War II, both sides sought a quick victory. Germany initially tried to cut British supply lines with U-boats, while the Allies bombed German cities. Though early bombing was inaccurate, new technology and code-breaking eventually helped the Allies win the Battle of the Atlantic. Meanwhile, on the Eastern Front, the Soviet Union’s massive army steadily pushed back Hitler’s forces, who suffered from his poor military decisions. Finally, in June 1944, the Allies launched D-Day, a huge invasion of Normandy, France, using clever deceptions and new equipment. Credit to : All Out Warfare
