Many Of Them Scattered Across Europe, Some Trying To Avoid Capture By Allied Forces, While Others Sought Refuge In Countries That Still Held Sympathy For Nazi Ideology. The Collapse Of The SS Was Not Uniform, As Some Of Its High-ranking Officers, Such As Heinrich Himmler And Other Leaders Of The Organization, Attempted To Flee To South America, Where It Was Rumored That Support Networks Existed That Would Allow Them To Hide And Live Far From The Reach Of Justice.
