WWII Courland Pocket: 200,000 German Soldiers Trapped. What Remains Today?

Metal detecting in Latvia. We visited an area known as ‘ The Courland pocket’. During WW2 over 200.000 German soldiers were entrenched here for almost a year. Surrounded and constantly being attacked by Soviet Forces, these men fought and lived under harsh conditions.
