Feminism propelled major developments in American history from the Industrial Revolution to the Suffrage Movement, which were led by powerful and inspiring women. Historian Elizabeth Cobbs profiles several of them in her latest book, “Fearless Women.” She joined Crystal Haynes to discuss the figures she calls “feminist patriots,” from Abigail Adams to Beyoncé. Cobbs said she hopes her book will encourage more people to embrace feminism.
