Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said that “huge battles are being fought in the north and east of Ukraine’s capital”. Ukraine said that its forces are pushing back Russian troops in the northeast and northwest regions of Kyiv. Meanwhile, Moscow has accused Kyiv of carrying out its first airstrike on Russian soil, saying that it will potentially hurt peace talks. The attack on the Russian oil depot comes as Ukrainian and Russian officials resume peace talks.
