Why is the Infantry not using this Firepower Right Now?

Modern Battlefield Firepower

Chain guns, auto-cannons, heavy caliber machine guns, auto loading guns and large sized armaments are normally the common sight on infantry fighting vehicles and tanks. The modern infantry and soldier on the battlefield have a lot to compete with nowadays and it is scary to know the kinds of weapon systems that are available now.
Normally we see the 30mm chain gun on the underside of a A-10 Thunderbolt or the Apache gunship. But it seems like the engineers in the robotics world have decided to start looking into putting this large scale and devastating weapons platforms on the Unmanned Ground Vehicles that are slowly becoming more and more of a common research concept for military’s around the world.

The drones or guided ground vehicles are being equipped with some big guns and capabilities that we would have never imagined 10-20 years ago. Here we are today potentially staring back at these units that could provide massive amounts of fire support and overall firepower to ground troops and even other branches of the army or marines. Logistics, mine detection and removal, medical aid, troop transport or reconnaissance. These robots will be the future of infantry support and combat fighting.
