This video details the story of how nearly 50,000 Cossacks came to fight in specially organized units in the German army in WW2 on the Eastern front, first in the Wehrmacht then in the , eventually coming under the command of the little known Helmuth Von Pannwitz until their eventual demise in Soviet prison camps after the war.
